About Urchin Studios

Our London recording studio is situated in the heart of Hackney Wick’s creative district, a stone’s throw from Hackney Wick Overground station.

The studios were purpose built to provide a hub for London’s musical talent, featuring a relaxed atmosphere, natural light (sometimes a rare commodity in recording studios!) and a selection of high end recording equipment.

About Our Recording Studios

Our Team

Co-founders Matt Ingram and Dan Cox started Urchin Studios in 2007 in Limehouse, East London in in a premises previously occupied by legendary Strokes producer Gordon Raphael. After 2 relocations the recording studios arrived at their current location in Hackney Wick.

As well as 3 separate commercial studios each of a different design, the studios feature 8 purpose built production rooms.
